I love collaborating with others and bringing their loves to life through custom artwork. When I was an adolescent, I was commissioned by a neighbor to do a drawing of his grandparents in front of the old family store. All he had were grainy photos of his grandparents and memories of the place he had known as a child. What a gift it was to bring those memories back to life! 

 

Drawings, paintings, and other art creations tell a story of a moment in time, as well as hold all the complexities of stories reaching back farther than we can imagine. When I paint a picture of a family of five, I get to tell a story of love, simplicity, a holding on and a letting go. I get to tell a story of moments already lost and ones not even yet imagined.
